Data and Performance
How do we ensure your child is receiving the very best education possible?
As a new academy school, we have not yet been inspected by Ofsted and MANY changes have occurred since the last inspection in January 2017, which can be viewed here.
We have a robust self-evaluation system in place and constantly strive for excellence.
Our staff are highly motivated in making our school a hub for learning where all children are able to achieve.

Welcome to Watson class
Jessica Watson is an Australian sailor who was awarded the Order of Australia Medal after attempting a solo circumnavigation at the age of 16. We can't think of an adventurer we'd rather be named after!

What will we be learning this year?
Autumn Term - A World of Bright Ideas, In Your Element, Wars of the World
We start the year with a communication project, A World of Bright Ideas, that looks at inventions and developments.
In Your Element focuses on Earth, Air, Fire and Water through a geography lens.
Lastly, we move on to the conflict driver with Wars of the World, taking a look at wars past and present.
Spring Term - True Crime, I Have a Dream..., British Bulldog
The first project of the Spring term is True Crime, an exploration of the Pendle witch trials.
Our culture theme is I Have a Dream... which looks at discrimination and prejudice.
British Bulldog is the story of Winston Churchill which will allow us to retrieve some knowledge from our Autumn term wars topic.
Summer Term - Global Warning, Time Team
The first project of the Summer term has a conservation theme. Global Warning looks at waste and pollution.
Time Team has a history and geography focus and is based in our local area.
The Year 5/6 topics are so engaging and we will make sure we share their learning journey with you regularly.
PE
Our PE days this term are Tuesdays and Fridays. Please remember to come to school in your PE kit (including outdoor trainers), to tape up earrings if you wear them and a bobble for long hair. We do PE in most weather (don't worry, we do stop when it gets too rainy, but not if it's cold) so please dress accordingly.
